I’m über excited to share with you my latest work! I had the wonderful opportunity to design the branding for Creative Hive Co , (previously known as The Pragmatic Designer) a consulting business helping creatives get more exposure and make more sales. Mei Pak, the founder, teaches and provides support around marketing strategies and plans including social media, retail vs wholesale, PR & publicity, photography, pricing, advertising and more.
Mei is not only the owner of Creative Hive Co, but also designs the cutest scented food jewellery. Check it out at Tiny Hands . From cupcakes, ice-creams and donuts to bacon and pretzels… I can’t decide which is my favourite. You’ll die over the cuteness.
Anyway, getting back to the stuff I designed. The target audience for Creative Hive Co is female makers, designers and artists running their own creative businesses. Mei wanted a logo that was modern and feminine, with a friendly, hand-drawn or watercolour look. She provided me with a beautiful Pinterest board filled with logo inspiration, and a moodboard with colour inspiration. Here are the three logo concepts I provided to her:
She chose the first concept and then we started going through rounds of revisions until we arrived at this:
It was an honour to work with Mei on her new branding. Be sure to check out her blog for awesome business tips.
