Rosaria came to me looking for a logo for her business called Vamos Organizar. In English it means “Let’s Organise”. She is a personal organiser living in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Her business slogan is “A organização liberta!” which means something along the lines of “being organized makes you feel free.” Which is definitely true, isn’t it? She wanted the logo to convey that free feeling while still being simple and organised. Calm, cool colours like blue and green were her chosen palette for this logo.
Before we got started I asked her to fill in a questionnaire to learn more about her needs for this project. I do this before every client project. I also asked her to send me a few logos that she likes so that I can get an idea of her style. After going through her answers I presented her with three different logo options. I was inspired by the concept of “free” – flying, birds, feathers, butterflies, dragonflies, etc. The first concept was inspired by a peacock – the blue and green colours, the patterns on the feathers and so on.
My client chose option #1 and did not request any changes, although all of my projects include 3 revisions rounds so we can make any necessary changes. Next it was time to add colour to option #1.
Option #2 with the stronger colours was chosen, but with a blue dot instead of green.
